Sourced from environments in the Eastern Brazilian Pegmatite Province – Lithium Valley - Araçuaí/MG/Brazil, a world reference in fine tourmalines. In Brazil, most tourmalines are Elbaites.

Watermelon Tourmaline is an Elbaite — a ring cyclosilicate Na(Li15Al15)Al6(Si6O18)(BO3)3(OH)4 — that forms in granitic pegmatites. The concentric bands arise from chemical changes during crystal growth, where normally Mn favors the pink in the center and Cr/V the green at the edge. The peculiarity lies in the inversion of these colors in this piece. It has a hardness of 7–7.5 (Mohs), vitreous luster, and delicate pleochroism.

Green Tourmaline or Verdelite, also an Elbaite, is a cyclosilicate of boron, aluminum, sodium, and lithium; with the presence of Cs, Be, Ba, Zn, Sn, Nb, Ta; among other rare elements. It has a habit in long prismatic forms, with rounded triangular cross-sections, strongly striated along the length, several terminations. Green to dark green color. Transparent to translucent. Vitreous luster. Piezoelectricity and Pyroelectricity.

Lepidolite or Lithium Mica is a Potassium, Lithium and Aluminum Fluorosilicate; it may contain Rubidium, Cesium and other rare earth elements (REE). Its characteristic colors: lavender, lilac to purple. This piece has a gamma grade B.
