FLINT DOLL – POINTED FAIRY STONE | HANDCRAFTED PENDANT BRACELET (18K GOLD PLATED)
A true piece of natural geo-art—a delight for those who appreciate pareidolia and deep symbolism. This exclusive creation by LAZZERINI-GEOJOIAS features a mineral rarity native to the territory of the "Corumbataí Geopark Project." It showcases an original design comprising a Portuguese-style link bracelet and a handcrafted wire-wrapped pendant (both 18k gold-plated), centering on a natural "Flint Doll" crystal (45.4 ct) sculpted by nature into a distinctive pointed shape.
This specimen was hand-collected at its source from tailings at the Assistência Quarry in Rio Claro, São Paulo, Brazil.
WHY THIS GEO-JEWEL IS SPECIAL
• Natural geological sculpture: flint nodules can grow and coalesce to form lobed, abstract, or figure-like shapes.
• Absolute exclusivity: its shape, texture, hue, and internal pattern are unique and unrepeatable.
• Geological heritage: formed within the Permian deposits of the Paraná Basin.
• Brazilian artisanal design: an original setting that preserves the stone's "in natura" appearance.
• Authenticity: comes with a LAZZERINI-GEOJOIAS certificate and a geological inventory.
ORIGIN & THE SCIENCE OF BEAUTY
The "Flint Doll" is a siliceous concretion formed by the union—or coalescence—of two or more nodules during silicification and diagenesis. It is neither a single crystal nor a body fossil, but rather a sedimentary structure that may incorporate spores, organic matter, and microstructures from its formation environment.
Flint (also known as chert, or "flint" specifically for darker varieties) is composed primarily of silicon dioxide in the form of microcrystalline and cryptocrystalline quartz and chalcedony. It is characterized by fine grain, high durability, and conchoidal fracture. Its colors range from cream, gray, and brown to chocolate and black, potentially revealing a waxy to vitreous luster when polished.
In the Irati Formation, these "Flint Dolls" (nodular cherts) appear in association with black shales, limestones, and dolomites. They are irregularly shaped coalesced nodules found within carbonate layers and shales. Their formation may involve syngenetic, metasomatic, and diagenetic processes, as well as the dissolution of siliceous sponge spicules and the transformation of clay minerals. Each specimen acts as a capsule of Permian geological history.
HISTORY, SYMBOLISM & TRADITIONS
Since prehistoric times, flint has been used for tools, ornaments, amulets, and collectibles. With these Flint Dolls, the ornamental value arises from a sculptural form created without human intervention, uniting geology and imagination.
According to cultural and energetic traditions, flint symbolizes protection, stability, courage, perseverance, ancestry, and grounding. It is associated with the Root chakra, the sign of Taurus, and the Earth element. These references are symbolic and do not replace medical or therapeutic advice.
