ORIGIN & THE SCIENCE OF BEAUTY
Aquamarine is the blue to blue-green variety of Beryl (Be₃Al₂Si₆O₁₈), a mineral of the hexagonal crystal system and the same family as Emerald, Morganite, Heliodor and Goshenite. Its color is mainly related to iron within the crystal structure. With a Mohs hardness of 7.5 to 8, vitreous luster and good transparency, Aquamarine is a classic jewelry gemstone and forms mainly in granitic pegmatites, environments favorable to prismatic crystal growth.
These specimens come from Vereda, Bahia, Brazil. Under LAZZERINI-GEOJOIAS curation criteria, they are Grade A: attractive blue with little to no green/yellow, partially translucent, and 25–50% matrix. Their defining feature is the presence of natural Brown Tourmaline – Dravite inclusions and associations. Rather than removing these geological markings, the design preserves them as part of the crystal’s natural identity, making each piece visually unrepeatable.

Known in different traditions as the “Mermaid Stone,” “Jewel of the Sea” and “Neptune’s Gift,” Aquamarine symbolizes serenity, courage, protection, renewal and clarity.
