Another beautiful innovation from LAZZERINI-GEOJOIAS to wear in this exclusive natural crystal jewel. An American link style necklace, with a handcrafted wire pendant (all plated in white rhodium); containing fragments of banded chrysotile crystals (18.9 ct) in serpentine.
Description
Chrysotile, also known as Chrysotile, is the designation given to a subgroup of asbestiform minerals of the serpentine group; it crystallizes in the form of flexible separating fibers with green-white, olive-green, green, green-black, yellow, brown and white inclusions. Hardness: 2.5 to 3.
It is a mineral of secondary origin, a product of the decomposition of other magnesium silicates present in igneous or metamorphic rocks. Also of hydrothermal pneumatolytic origin, by the action of deep waters in basic rocks such as gabbro, peridotite or dunite.
Chrysotile or white asbestos is a mineral from the Silicate group, the Phyllosilicate subgroup, and within them is a serpentine – kaolinite.
Serpentinite is a rock composed of one or more minerals from the serpentine group. The minerals in this group, rich in magnesium and water, light to dark green, greasy in appearance and slippery in feel, are formed by serpentinization, a hydration and metamorphic transformation of ultramafic rock from the Earth's mantle. Mineral alteration is particularly important on the seabed at tectonic plate boundaries.
Cultural Significance
Chrysotile comes from the Greek word for fiber. In Chinese folklore, it was popularly believed that chrysotile did not come from the earth, but from the plumage of a bird. Even the Indian king Dehim believed that chrysotile came from the skin of a non-combustible bird and that he could make fireproof materials from it.
Serpentinite, whose name originates from the resemblance of the rock's texture to that of a snake's skin. Known as "snake stone" (in Latin "serpent" means "snake"), Serpentine was believed to cure snake bites and protect against snake venom. According to legends and traditions, it was commonly used to carve chalices for kings.
Crystal Energy
It has characteristics of high heat resistance, insulation (thermal, electrical and acoustic), durability, flexibility and incombustibility; it has more than 3,600 applications in various sectors and is used in Brazil, especially to produce construction materials used by the low-income population.
Serpentinite has a significant amount of bound water, with abundant hydrogen atoms capable of slowing down neutrons by elastic collision; being used as a neutron shield in nuclear reactors.
Sometimes called the "Stone of Life," Chrysotile is said to allow access to your past lives.
Chrysotile's energy helps a person find their "true self" by clearing blockages and increasing the vibration of the aura. On a spiritual level, it helps eliminate the waste of the past to reveal and integrate your essential self. It promotes honesty, integrity, and sincerity; both in actions and thoughts. It can be used to bring about what you want.
Chrysotile can be used as an oracular tool (divination); visual patterns can provide a link to ancient knowledge and access to animal power. It has been used in telepathic efforts, sending and receiving messages, and can be used to bring about a connecting action between two beings. It can help someone release the need to control others while creating a sense of control in their own life.
